Happy Saturday! I have a class today and am joining some friends tomorrow to make Christmas cards for Meals on Wheels. I am looking forward to giving back in a very small way but if there is any way I can make someone’s day, I’m in!
Today it’s a color challenge from the Global Design Project. I knew I could go different ways with these colors but I chose to try out the Ready for Christmas bundle.
I fell in love with the idea of this bundle and wasn’t quite sure where to start. So of course you start with the tree, right? 🙂
I stamped the tree in Old Olive and used the framelit to cut it out. Then I used the framelit for the boughs. You only need 5 and the design of the tree makes placement easy. I just used a small amount of Multipurpose glue to apply. I wanted them to stay in place once dry. I added the ornaments with glue dots. I heat embossed the sentiment and presents with Gold embossing powder. The framelits for the presents make for easy work to cut them out. I like the look that the Decorative Ribbon Punch gives as well. The rhinestones on the presents finish the card.
Stamp: Ready for Christmas Paper: Black, White, Old Olive, Gold Foil, Year of Cheer Specialty DSP Ink: Versamark, Old Olive Accessories: Christmas Staircase Thinlits, Gold EP, Decorative Ribbon Border Punch, Rhinestones, Stampin’ Dimensionals
