Okay, I confess. I wanted to make a clean and simple card for the challenges from Stamp Ink Paper and the Paper Craft Crew Challenge. Just easy peasy……. Back to School, how hard can that be? After choosing three different stamp sets and some fussy cutting this is what I came up with:
I stamped the scissors on Black and Silver Foil. I added the black handle with a little Tom Bow or “green glue”. I stamped the pencils with black on crushed curry and colored the lead and eraser with a watercolor pencil. I stamped the sentiment in White Craft Ink on Black cardstock, added White EP and heat embossed the image. The Best Badge punch eliminated the need for any fussy cutting here 🙂 . And if you haven’t tried them, the Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals work really well for small areas like the scissors.
Red Pot? I started with the Red Pot before I even decided on the Designer Paper. A little backwards I know but that is how my mind is working this morning. I decided to keep it because I liked the pop it gives to the card and of course I added some Clear Wink of Stella which you can’t see but it does give the pot a little extra.
Okay, I’m going to stop here because the last time I tried to write a little more my fingers hit some key that I lost the WHOLE post and I had to start over… 🙁
