Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend! Today I’m combining two challenges for my project. The color challenge from the Paper Players and the design from Freshly Made Sketches. I’m using the Background Bits stamp. I wanted to try to use all of the images without making it look gaudy.
I came pretty close, what do you think?
Stamp: Background Bits Paper: Black, Calypso Coral, White, Pear Pizzazz, Bermuda Bay Ink: Pear Pizzazz, Calypso Coral, Bermuda Bay, Memento, Markers: Calypso Coral & Pear Pizzazz Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Layering Ovals Framelits, Layered Leaves Dynamic TIEF, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Be sure to lightly mist the card stock before using the Layering Leaves TIEF. You don’t need a lot, just a spray or two. This will help give you a deeper impression.
I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig for the two background pieces. At times like this it save a lot of time and paper by using this tool!
For the flower and leaves for the focal point, I used markers along with my Misti. This way I was able to re-ink the stamp a few times to get better color.
The ribbon is retired. I think it was from an old Sale-a-Bration promotion. I’m sure there is something in the Annual Catalog that could easily replace this. I’m just using what I have.
Here are the challenges that inspired my card:
