The challenge from Just Us Girls is to use something old and/or something new. I chose to use new bundle that is available now before the Holiday catalog goes live in September.
Check out this video that will give you ideas for this set.
I started by taking a piece of Shimmery White cardstock and an aqua painter. I got the panel wet and then added some Soft Sky, Marina Mist and Tranquil Tide. While I left that to dry I used the framelits to cut out the trees. I used a small brush to add some embossing paste to look like snow on the trees and before the paste dried I added some Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.
I used one of the card builder framelits on the gold foil panel and cut the deer with some scrap. Once the water coloring dried I added the trees and more paste for snow on the ground. I used Silver foil for the moon and stars.
Here is a closer look at the embossing paste effect.
I used the Fine-Tip Glue pen to add glue to the letters and then added the glitter. The corner design is from the framelits also. This may not be the card you want to make a lot of but for that special person this just may be the ticket. I really like how this one turned out.
