The challenge from the Global Design Project is to CASE the Designer, Steffi Helmschrott. I don’t know German but the language of card making translates universally and Steffi is truly an artist. CASE in this case means to Copy And Selectively Edit. I chose to CASE the jar using a different stamp set and similar colors. I’m using the new Ronald McDonald stamp set called Sharing Sweet Thoughts. It is on the last page of the catalog and Stampin’ Up! will donate $3.00 for every stamp sold to RMHC. Not a bad deal, right?
This set coordinates with the Everyday Jar Framelits. I didn’t use the framelits today but you can and that is always a nice feature.
Stamps: Sharing Sweet Thoughts, Thankful Thoughts Paper: Crumb Cake, Soft Sky, Daffodil Delight, White Ink: Crumb Cake, Pear Pizzazz, Memento, Real Red Stampin’ Marker, Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Marker, Soft Sky Stampin’ Marker Accessories: Classic Label Punch, Blender Pen, Stamp-a-majig, White Perfect Accents, Sending Love Combo Pack Ribbon (retired), Stampin’ Dimensionals
I used an X-acto Knife to cut slits on each side of the jar and fed the ribbon through and attached it in the back with tape. I tied the bow and adhered it with a glue dot. I love the White Perfect Accents on the bottom of the jar. Kind of looks like marbles, right? After I stamped the branch I used a blender pen to pull in some of the color. I used the Stamp-a-majig to line up the ladybug and a Real Red marker to color it. I stamped the butterflies in Memento ink on the front panel and then again on a scrap of Daffodil Delight and Soft Sky. I hand cut them out and added a little color before adhering them with some of the new Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals and of course I couldn’t stop there…..I added some Clear Wink of Stella. The sentiment is from Thankful Thoughts. I stamped it in Memento Ink on a scrap of Crumb Cake and punched it out with the Classic Label Punch. Then I added 2 mini-dimensionals and adhered it to the card.
Here is the challenge that inspired my card:
