Did you have a nice weekend? Mine was relaxing and productive. I’m almost finished prepping for my classes this week. I’m so excited to share some new products and techniques. This is going to be a great class !
When I saw the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches, I knew I wanted to do something a little different for the circles and use some of the new embossing paste.
Stamp: Eastern Beauty Paper: Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, White, Delightful Daisy DSP Ink: Old Olive, Daffodil Delight refill Accessories: Swirly Scribbles Thinlits, Starburst Punch, Layering Circles, Classic Label Punch, Embossing Paste, Pattern Party Decorative Masks, Palette Knives, Stampin’ Dimensionals, retired Washi tape, Dauber
HOW DID SHE DO THAT?
I started by putting a small (very) small amount of embossing paste on a silicone mat. I added one drop of Daffodil Delight and mixed well. I put the mask I wanted to use over the white cardstock and used one of the palette knives to add the paste. I still had enough left over to do another panel. Make sure you clean the knife and mask as soon as possible as it dries very quickly.
I used the largest circle scallop framelit on Daffodil Delight. I used the largest swirl for the Old Olive piece and the new Starburst Punch for the designer paper. I adhered the three pieces together and added it to the card front after it was dry with Stampin’ Dimensionals. This was added to the Daffodil Delight panel and then to the Old Olive card base. I found a small scrap of white for the sentiment. I straightened out the words from the Eastern Beauty stamp set and stamped it with Old Olive Ink. I sponged the edges with a sponge dauber and Old Olive ink. I used Fast Fuse for the left part of the sentiment and 2 Stampin’ Dimensionals (cut in half) for the right side. This would be a good place to use some of the new Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. For the inside I used some retired washi tape across the bottom. This is where I say, use what you have and buy what you need.
Here is the challenge that inspired my card:
