This is the second week I am a guest designer for Just Us Girls. I will admit I was challenged with this one 🙂 .
I made several attempts before I came up with my card. I used watercolor paper, sponge daubers and an aqua painter and four colors for the background. I stamped the flower twice, once on the main panel and then on a piece of scrap. After I colored it I cut it out and popped it over the original. I used some Fine-Tip Glue for the center of the flower to add a bit of shine and dimension.
Here is my card:
Stamp: Touches of Texture Paper: Tempting Turquoise, Black, White, Watercolor Paper Ink: Pear Pizzazz, Crushed Curry, Tempting Turquoise, Marina Mist, Gray Archival Accessories: Aqua Painter, Sponges, Spritzer, Fine-tip Glue Pen, Black Bakers Twine, Stampin’ Dimensionals
I used an aqua painter to get the watercolor paper wet. I used sponges to randomly color the paper. I spritzed the paper with water to blend the colors. Once it had dried a bit, I used the Aqua Painter to add water drops to finish the panel.
Now it’s your turn. Come over to the Just Us Girls Challenge and play along. Be sure to check the team member’s cards while you are there.
Thank you for stopping by today!
