We made it through another week and I’m hoping we have seen the last of snowfall for this year. So when I look at today’s project it makes me smile because of the cheerful colors. My card is based on the color challenge from Sunday Stamps and the theme challenge from the Paper Players, “Cut It Out”. I started by added some of the Fruit Stand DSP to a Pear Pizzazz panel and then to the Sahara Sand card base. I added a strip of Tangerine Tango to the smaller panel of the designer paper. For the peach, I stamped the outline in Stazon on Watercolor paper. Then I stamped the leaves with Pear Pizzazz. I stamped the peach with Peekaboo Peach and then used a sponge dauber to add Tangerine Tango around the edges. Then I spritzed the image with water and added Clear Embossing Powder and heat embossed it. This technique adds more dimension and I tried to get a better picture so you could see it better.
The striped designer paper gave me the idea to add some baker’s twin across the panel to add some dimension and tie in the stripes.
I made two of the peaches (in case I messed up) and used the second for the inside of the card. I hand cut both images.
Here are the challenges that inspired my card:
