Happy Saturday and happy World Card Making Day!!! I hope you get the chance to do a little stamping and send it to someone special….maybe someone you haven’t seen or talked to in a while. Everyone likes happy mail so you can make someone’s day!
Before I get to my project for today I want to thank the design team from Pals Paper Arts for choosing my card as one of their top picks. It’s a good feeling to be recognized and believe me very appreciated. If you missed my card, you can see it here.
It seems coincidental that the theme from the Global Design Project is Random Acts of Kindness and today is World Card Making Day. My card is fairly clean and simple. I used the sketch from the Paper Craft Crew Card challenge. I stamped the flowers from the Perfectly Wrapped Stamp Set on a scrap of Island Indigo and hand cut them out. For the background on the smaller white panel I used the marker flick technique….I don’t know if that’s the correct name but it works for me :-). I used the brush end of the markers and flicked it against the cap of the pen. This will create very small dots. I used Mint Macaron, Sahara Sand and Island Indigo. I’m not sure if this will damage your marker so if you try this be careful.
Stampin’ Up! has some wonderful specials for October. First of all for World Card Making Day you can get selected items at a great discount from October 1 to October 5.
And for the full month of October you can take advantage of the Designer Series Paper Sale.
