When I started working on this card my intention was to submit it to the Mother’s Day challenge from the Paper-Garden. I was inspired by one of Mary Fish’s cards and I wanted to work with some retiring colors, Elegant Eggplant & Pink Pirouette. As I finished the card I thought there was enough “purple” to enter it in the challenge for Just Us Girls.
I’m using the Apron of Love bundle for today’s project. You can get this set as a bundle (save 10%) until May 31, 2018. After that time you can still purchase the set, you just pay for each item separately.
and here is my card:
I’m using some retired designer paper but I thought it worked perfectly for this card. When I first saw this set I was a bit overwhelmed with the number of framelits. Once I cut out the pieces for this card it was actually very fun to put together. Glue dots make easy work of attaching the smallest parts. Do you remember paper dolls? I remember my mom getting the McCall’s magazine and I would cut out the paper dolls and clothes. I think the doll was named Betsy. Let me know if I’m wrong. It wouldn’t be the first time, LOL.
I used a retired embossing folder called Spring Flowers for the pink strip on the inside. I you want just a little texture use any embossing folder. The inside sentiment is a retired stamp called My Mother.
Stamps: Apron of Love, My Mother (r), Paper: Elegant Eggplant, Pink Pirouette, Vellum, White, Regals DSP (r) Ink: Elegant Eggplant Accessories: Apron Builder Framelits, Spring Flowers TIEF (r), Regals Enamel Shapes, Wink of Stella (I colored the flower and heart), Stampin’ Dimensionals

The weather is getting warmer and I’m getting Spring Fever and am anxious to get out on the golf course. Besides my family I have a few other passions. I love to create and make cards and 3d projects. I love to play golf and knit. Though I may be pulled in several directions, I’ll do my best to continue to share my projects.
If you need any stamping supplies I’d be happy to be your demonstrator. Just click on any of the items below or the Shop Now button and you’ll go directly to my online store. If you have any questions or comments, I’d love to hear from you.
Thank you for stopping by today!
