Today I had the chance to have a mini class with my husband, John and his very good friend, Kevin. My husband has never really had an interest in making cards. He is very supportive though and when Kevin said he’d like to make a card for his mom for Mother’s Day he agreed to play along.
So yesterday after they played golf (in 35 mph winds and 45 degrees…brrrrrr) we got together to make a card.
We used the Just Because Host stamp.
We used the Stamparatus to allow them to stamp the perfect image. To keep things simple they colored the image with the Stampin’ Blends. (Light Crumb Cake, Granny Apple Green, Balmy Blue) The Rectangle Stitched Dies made quick work for making the layers but they were happy I had the layers cut out for them in advance 🙂 .
Do you remember the first time you used dimensionals? Today was a treat to see them being used for the first time. To finish the card they added some Wink of Stella to the flowers. Anyway I think the guys had fun and maybe they’ll do it again.
Kevin and my husband John with their finished project.
We kept the inside simple and open to the personal notes.
I hope you enjoyed today’s post and thank you for stopping by!
